60-acre retail project built in two phases is anchored by Safeway and will
include a Chevy Chase bank and a Red Robin restaurant. The project includes
significant environmental permitting. Plans include an indoor recreational
center with the first ice rink in Southern Maryland. The project is also the
first of its type in the area to house commercial, public recreation and entertainment
in the same location. Loiederman Soltesz Associates, Inc. provided services
to the developer, which included engineering, planning, surveying, permitting
and environmental services.
