Soltesz Associates, Inc. was engaged to assist in comparative planning and
cost analysis for several optional schemes for development of a major outpatient
physical therapy center on the grounds of the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center,
a County-owned and developed magnet park for health, medical and bio-technical
industries in Montgomery County, Maryland. Based on building concepts provided
by a consulting architect, Loiederman Soltesz Associates developed concept
site plans with layout of parking facilities, circulation, grading, utilities
and landscape for four optional building sites, as an addition to the existing
hospital, as a semi-detached addition, and two free standing locations. Loiederman
Soltesz Associates provided comparative preliminary cost analysis for each
scheme and for all expected and definable site development cost factors including
required demolitions, utilities relocations and rough earthwork, as well as
landscape concepts in compliance with special regulations of the Shady Grove
Life Sciences Center.
