Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center
Washington, DC
Occupying
an 11-acre site on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between the White House and the
Capitol, this monumental building, once a 2,000-car parking lot, is the second
largest Federal building after the Pentagon. The 3.1 million square foot federal
office and trade center complex includes two million square feet of federal
agency offices, a 500,000 square foot international trade center and offices,
retail/restaurants and a 2,400-car underground parking garage. Loiederman
Soltesz Associates, Inc. provided site surveys, construction surveys and engineering
services for the project. During construction, the firm monitored adjacent
buildings and Metro tunnels to determine construction impact.
